Our partners provide the security systems, hardware and installation; California Metro Patrol provides the alarm and monitoring response, as well as round-the-clock random patrol services, property walk-throughs and other services to keep our clients safe and secure. Our customers receive an extremely comprehensive approach to their security with California Metro Patrol. We deliver traditional “foot beat and observation” security as well as quicker response times using real-time high-tech systems.

California Metro Patrol’s core community is the City of Pasadena. We are looking for qualified candidates who have pervious experience in the security industry as well as candidates who are starting out in the business looking to gain experience. California Metro Patrol offers entry-level and experienced unarmed and armed security guard positions, part-time and full-time.

For Patrol Officer I – Armed Position Candidates:

While we provide firearms training for our security officers, we do require that you do own your own service firearm by the time of your hire date. Another benefit to our firearms training is that it meets BSIS re-qualification standards.

FAQs About Our Hiring Process

CMP's basic employment requirements for our security officers are below:

  • Minimum age of 18 at the time of hire
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED (college work preferred)
  • A reliable means of transportation and communication in good working order
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Willingness to participate in our pre-employment screening process (drug screen and background checks)

  • Valid California drivers license
  • Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Certification
  • Firearms Permit (Patrol Officers must have a Firearms Permit by the date of hire for armed positions)
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (desirable)
